J.R. Shooting Sports was founded by John Roe in 1991 because of his love for guns and the outdoors. He and his wife, Connie, have run the store since the beginning . Starting out of his garage making sales to friends and family, the business grew quickly. Moving into a storefront, they were able to expand their inventory and customer base. J.R.'s had become a one stop shop, stocking everything you may ever need. In the year 2000, it came time to grow even further. They built a larger store and added an indoor target range. As their children grew older they began taking on responsibilities around the store. Their daughters, Taylor & McKenzie and son, John work towards the goal of one day taking over and carrying the business forward into the future.
